Cool Tools - Hossfeld Style Bender

Have you ever wanted to bend a piece of 1/4" X 2" flat and thought clamping it in the vise and beating it over was just a little too cavemanish?  Print out the drawings on the attached link and build one of these Hossfeld style benders.  Once you use one of these babies, you will never go back to the old vise and BFH method of moving metal!  I can hardly wait to get some hydraulics on mine...  Go to  www.kinzers.com/don/MachineTools/bender    and print out your complete set of plans.  These thigs aren't only good for flat bar.  They can be used for round bar, tubing and pipe, square tube, you name it.

Duane, Awsome blue prints,

Duane,
Awsome blue prints, thanks for sharing! Although my favorite method for bending 1/4" flat stock or solid round is to clamp it to the work bench, or vice, and pull out the good ol' oxy torch. I alway like getting in touch with my inner caveman! Although I may have to try looking into your bender a little more, it just may make life easier...
